heartwarming tale of a family of women who have no choice but to find
the bright side of every dark turn their collective lives might take
in the rural South.
Fresh out of prison and anxious to escape her checkered past, Dixie
Bailey must overcome old grudges, new challenges, and the stereotype
of being an ex con. Her attempt to turn over a new leaf will be
impeded and assisted by a sloppy parole officer, a Yankee
psychiatrist, an 'old gang' who refuses to let her move on, and a
good-old-boy sheriff who refuses to believe she can change. The
'help' of her mother, two sisters and close friends may do more harm
than good. Can Dixie create a new, straight life for herself in the
midst of her charming yet dysfunctional family?
